Waist to Hip Ratio Calculator

Using the waist-to-hip ratio is an easy way to see where you are carrying our weight - around your tummy or on your hips. If you store most of your excess body fat around your waist, it increases the risk of Type 2 diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure compared to the folk who store their body fat on their hips and thighs.

Under 0.8 Under 0.95 Low
0.81 - 0.85 0.96 - 1.0 Moderate
Over 0.85 Over 1.0 High

How does you result compare with the chart above?

For ladies, a waist measurement of 0.81 and above or for men 0.96 and above puts you at increased risk of weight-related health problems. The higher the number the higher the risk!
